s-ALICE-IN-WONDERLAND-WEEKEND-BOX-OFFICE-large.jpg

LOS ANGELES — Alice is still ruling the movie palace.

Johnny Depp and Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland" easily remained the No. 1 weekend draw with $62 million, according to studio estimates Sunday. The Disney fantasy has climbed to a $208.6 million total domestically, becoming the first $200 million hit released this year.

In other news: Hollywood producers finally realize that any movie starring Johnny Depp wherein he gets to wear a lot of makeup is going to be box office gold.

Peter Graves, Dead at age 83

Found in his Pacific Palisades home, he apparently died of natural causes. Perhaps best remembered for his role in Mission: Impossible, he also appeared in the movie Airplane!.

On a personal note, way back around 1979, as I was trying to merge onto a crowded LA Freeway, I turned my head to give the driver blocking me a hard look, and lo and behold it was a yellow Oldsmobile Toronado, and at the wheel was none other than Peter Graves.

The guy had a huge head. Good times.

Rest in peace, Mr. Phelps.

Simon Cowell's Bugatti and Moobs are Not THAT Interesting, Britains!

simon-cowell-man-boobs.jpg

Simon's been busy wearing low-cut t-shirts and playing with his nipples on American Idol all season, but while he's doing so -- probably to keep himself from punching Kara DioGuardi in the throat -- a rag in the UK is getting all hot and bothered about his Bugatti Veyron -- which is basically an ugly penis extender on wheels.

This article seems to have been written by a 12-year-old for an audience of folks on Haldol who get excited when Metamucil adds a new flavor.

Follow the link if only to remind yourself that our friends in the UK may not be all that bright after all.

Kat Von D's New Nose and Botoxed Face

I watched an episode and a half of LA Ink last night, but eventually the artificial drama and Kat Von D's immobile face made me want to cough up a furball.  Ink is one thing, but the face botoxing and the nose reduction were just too much to endure.

I swear if she cracked a real smile her face would have broken up into a million little pieces. And when she actually did smile, it was just her top lip curling up over her front teeth. She looked like a mouse sniffing out some tasty cheese. =o=

And check out those new eyebrows.  She must have invested in a 64ct. box of Sharpies and a 55 gallon drum of wax.

Have a look at this comparison image I just cobbled together. Nasty, huh?

Siberian tigers are one of the world's rarest species, with just 300 believed remaining in the wild.
